3D Letters
These 26 alphabets are designed to be a
set of interactive and handcrafted typeface that will encourage the viewer to personify them; and this will be achieved through re-assembling each alphabet into a more aesthetically pleasing gesture of the letter, based on individual preferences. The challenge for the audience is to successfully piece together each letter, so that each has a distinguishable letter form, a subjective persona, and mechanically operable subsequently at the same time. |
Design
The interactive process is designed to be
a way for the audience to rethink the relationship between each letterform and the surrounding spaces; and this is done by piecing them together as if solving a large set of puzzle. The shadows casted by each alphabet, ideally in large-scale, will further give personality to each alphabet, when they are seen from different perspectives as light changes. |

Layout
Each letter is designed to be recognized
by switching from the side-view to a bird-view, for example. Hence, each one's identity is revealed despite of the seeming spatial/architectural congruity with the surroundings; in contrast to the material commonly associated with machines and modernity, the personification will speak more to the viewers than the function |
